VAT Management & Revenue Invoicing
UK companies are invoiced inclusive of VAT, while non-UK companies are invoiced excluding VAT. Customer payments are collected by Canopy Distribution, after which the brand invoices Canopy, and all funds are then paid to the brand.

Revenue & Margin
The brand retains 100% of its distribution margin. Canopy Distribution charges only a fixed monthly service fee - no percentage is taken from sales.
Canopy Distribution fronts certain operational costs throughout the term and recharges them to the brand at cost on a monthly basis. These include:
Warehouse Receiving & Landing Charges
Fees associated with initial inbound processing.
UK Import Label Advice & Application (If Required)
Guidance and application of compliant labels for the UK market.
Warehouse Storage Charges
Ongoing bonded storage fees based on volume and duration.
UK Excise Duty
Duty payments charged in line with HMRC guidelines.
Local UK Transport (Per Release)
Transport arranged for each release, with fees scaling in line with volume.
To ensure uninterrupted duty payments throughout the term of the agreement, Canopy Distribution requires a duty float deposit to be maintained for the duration of the arrangement.
Held for the Duration of the Agreement
Ensuring smooth duty clearance and HMRC compliance.
Refundable at End of Term
Provided all duty payments and related charges have been settled.
Brand Owners retain full legal and beneficial ownership of all stock whilst held under bond and until supplied to the end customer. Within this framework:
No Transfer of Title
Canopy Distribution acts solely as the logistics and administrative agent and does not assume title to goods at any stage.
Brand Responsibility for Costs
All duties, logistics costs and warehouse fees relating to stock movement remain the responsibility of the brand.
No Residual Commercial Risk
Canopy Distribution does not assume commercial risk in relation to unsold inventory at any time.
